If you're unable to create a majestic monolith with basic programming tools like encapsulation and namespaces, you don't have what it takes to improve upon the situation with a distributed swarm of microservices. Your spaghetti code will just be on five different plates.

Working on a new product at @37signals. Even more high fidelity in the UI than @heyhey, and so far we’ve gotten almost everything “for free” using Hotwire. A level of front-end productivity that almost feels like cheating. hotwired.dev

@baaz Hey @baaz , Some years ago I tried to be manager, although it was a nice experience, I felt it is not the thing I want to do. I want to coding for the rest of my life. You are the only one who will decide what is your career path and how it will look like. All the best for you

I'm 45 and have been doing web development for more than two decades. I should be an engineering manager or a staff engineer but I enjoy making/developing/engineering stuff more than ever and none of the classic career path would allow me that. What's my career path?

@bharvisampat Remote job has increased my ability to communicate things. Now I over communicate everything and prefer asynchronous communication instead of calls. Actually, I think a daily meeting is not needed if you can communicate the things via some asynchronous channel like Slack messages
