It's a myth that dryer lint is good for bird nests. It's actually killing baby birds.
It’s loaded with detergent residues, fabric softeners, and microplastics from synthetic clothes. When it gets wet (which it will), the lint collapses, creates holes, and can expose or entangle chicks.
Put out natural cotton or wool scraps in a mesh bag instead. Birds get safe, sturdy nesting material, and you keep extra microplastics and toxins out of the wild.
