In December 2024, the Government committed to a Financial Inclusion Strategy. Since then, officials, regulators, and consumer groups have worked in subcommittees developing the Strategy. With the Strategy’s launch imminent the question remains: will it be bold enough?

@rachaelfrclarke I heard the interview and felt nothing but compassion for what was obviously just a bad moment. Glad to hear you are recovered, be gentle with yourself, it's frustrating when our bodies sabotage things. I hope the weekend improves from here!

It's not been a great morning for me. I'm a Type 1 diabetic and my blood sugar dipped unexpectedly as I did a radio interview earlier. I'm fine now but it meant I wasn't able to represent our values the way I usually would. I'm sorry. Our comment is here - bpas.org/about-bpas/pre…

Last year, the government committed to a landmark Pensions Review - the first opportunity in two decades to overhaul the £3 trillion private pension system. 🤔 So what does this mean for the divestment movement? 👇👇

The Chancellor’s plan for pension ‘megafunds’ is a welcome step in the ‘biggest pension reforms in decades’. However, far more ambition is needed in the next stage if we are to truly fix our broken pension system. What could reforms include? 🧵 theguardian.com/business/2024/… /1

@helen_melon__ I use the free version, really helpful for symptom and supplement etc tracking, and they introduced a monthly FUNCAP tracker recently which is useful to monitor broader health trends. I don't find the daily score that useful, and haven't yet been tempted by the paid version.

#pwME who’ve tried Visible have you actually found it helpful? I’m conflicted on whether to get it. Everything is so overwhelming & hard atm & anything that might help sounds like a good idea but obviously that’s BS, especially with things “for M.E.” that cost money.

The budget closed the pensions inheritance tax loophole, reduced other inheritance loopholes, and confirmed the triple lock, but other trailed changes to pensions didn’t materialise. Where does this leave the pensions system which the government has vowed to reform? 🧵 /1

Here’s what the government should do if they’re serious about getting disabled people into work: ❌ Stop attacking benefit claimants with cheap soundbites. ✅ Address the real barriers that people face getting into work. standard.co.uk/news/politics/…
