When people who have refused to be vaccinated are admitted to hospital with Covid, do they also refuse all other treatments based on knowledge gained in the last two years because they are ‘too new’ and they want to wait for more evidence? Genuinely interested in the answers.

We’re heartbroken. We’re overwhelmed. The situation is critical. Please get vaccinated, wear a mask, wash your hands and get tested for COVID if you feel sick.

The UK entered the pandemic with ~3750 adult ICU beds. >750 of them have been occupied by patients with COVID since late July 2021: equivalent of ~46 ICUs just for COVID. These beds were all needed before the pandemic & this is not sustainable. #GetVaccinated #VaccinesWork

No one of us working in a hospital has ever seen so many people in their 30’s 40’s with pneumonia during the summer before COVID. Many patients require CPAP, some invasive ventilation. Nearly all of them are unvaccinated. If you are lucky to be offered vaccination, take it.

I don’t usually tweet on ‘project fear’. But after 2 days covering COVID admissions - the admission rate is worse then April with ever increasing infection rates. This is properly scary. Pay attention and stop the spread now!!
