The last 6 weeks have been a real career highlight for me working on Colin Matthews’ A Visit To Friends with @BrittenPears - and it couldn’t have gone better. So grateful to the whole team for such dedication and commitment to making it a hugely special and successful show ❤️

The news at the moment is simply heartbreaking & I sincerely wish for peace & for the murder of innocents to stop. However I politely request that people stop posting videos & photos of dead people, babies even, without warning. Worse still, tagging me in them. Please. 🙏🏻

@erinna77 @KingBobIIV @jeremycorbyn Idiotic comment. It’s wrong what Israel are doing in Gaza, but it’s absolutely incomparable to what the Nazis did. They are not trying to wipe out a race, or gassing people or throwing babies from windows, etc etc. Watch what you’re saying.

Israeli air strikes have hit Al Ahli hospital in Gaza. More than 500 people - patients, doctors & those sheltering - have been killed. What unspeakable horror. We will mourn their loss forever. Our leaders could have spoken up for peace. They chose to cheer on war instead. When will they demand an end to these atrocious war crimes? How many Palestinian lives will it take to call for these indiscriminate killings to stop? Please, for the sake of humanity, raise your voice for an immediate ceasefire. The existence of the Palestinian people is at stake.

scene to the world of opera, where tragic heroines are celebrated and the worshippers lose themselves to the music. It is grand, appalling, wild and intimate. I’m so happy to have had the chance to not only sing the soprano role but also to act in scenes with professional actors!

In July I had the pleasure of recording a very unique piece at the RBB (Berlin’s equivalent to the BBC) studios. The part techno-opera, part radio play, called ‘Exzess’ is based on the real life story of a tourist who dies in one of Berlin’s holiest clubs. It compares the club ➡️

And… that’s a wrap! What a wonderful 3 days of recording with this talented team. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to play with the medium of Radio drama. Not only did we do tons of singing experiments but I also got to fulfil a dream of doing some straight acting…🤓

Once in a while a project comes along that feels like a perfect fit. The best colleagues, amazing music, the thrill of something that feels relevant and new. “Exzess” is a Techno-Opera recorded for radio @rbb24 in which I play Jessica, the one who died in *that* club. 🎧🎶🤩

Our final Giulio Cesare is underway in Exeter Northcote Theatre tonight. We are all a bit emosh at the end of this era, but I’m so happy to have had the experience of living with Cleopatra after the show was cancelled in 2020. Grateful to James Conway & @ETOpera for this chance💖
