Detroit Tigers manager A.J. Hinch takes out Kerry Carpenter, who had a hit and an RBI, for Jahmai Jones, who strikes out and is now 0-for-9 on the season. Jones hit .288 with a .970 OPS last season against left handed pitchers but has not proven A.J. Hinch right so far in 2026.

@Saints2death Me too but even that’s not the end of the world. For it’s why MLB trumps NFL. More edge is realized over a longer season. Profar was a great example last year. Missed 81 games but absolutely balled when it mattered
