People will of course say why couldn't Mayor Balen do more in KMC and then you gotta know he didn't have control over the elected KMC Municipal executive (made up of Ward chairs and others from Nepali Congress, UML and other parties). A single independent Mayor can only do so much but I believe he tried his best.

It is so laughable some people comparing Balen with Zelensky not even realizing that Balen is not gonna be a directly elected PM (Zelensky was directly elected President) but rather via a parliamentary system which means if he tries to do anything that’s harmful to Nepal then he can be easily removed by RSP (where Rabi Lamichanne is gonna have the majority) or the Parliament. So stop this ridiculous fear mongering, some people with low IQ might believe this but certainly not the youths of Nepal and many other Nepalis.

It makes total sense for Balen to join RSP as its PM candidate because I believe he doesn't want to directly run a political party which requires many skills and Rabi Lamichhane possess that. A new Balen party would have had no organisation in many areas of Nepal and they also had to make people aware of their election symbol. RSP has built organisation in many areas and Ghanti election symbol is very well known now. So, this is absolutely the right move. He still has to win an election to be an MP and RSP has to get a majority and both aren't that easy.
