The same advice can be said for a lot of hitters. You don't need the new Hype Fire to hit better. You just need to turn more.

My man @iamSauceGardner finally realising it’s not the clubs… it the guy on the end of them 😂 Bro… you’ve bought an entire proshop when all you needed to do was turn some more 😂👊🏼 What a legend! One of us, one of us 😂

Struggling to create depth in the swing or can’t get on plane early with FBs? Try out the Kershaw drill with an open stride This will force the hitter to back up their point of contact and challenge their ability to get on plane at the back of the swing zone @CamFoster1

Toe-dominant loading strategies often lead to early hip extension The fix? Hinge and stay hinged during load/stride! Here's @JevinPatterson learning to hinge properly: ➡️Kershaw Drill ➡️Tee behind him to reinforce hinge pattern during stride ➡️Angled Plyos ➡️TURN

@ronsullivan99 Yes! And then usually when they start to use the heel more, the athlete says they feel “smoother”

@talking_hitting See this a lot in high school guys when they don’t move from the hinging parts of their hips. They are leggy hitters. I would just ask this kid “would you do a back squat with your knees like that?”

Want to diagnose a hitter's issues quickly? Watch their feet Toe-dominance & a ton of lateral force (often seen as jumping off the back side) can create a few issues: ➡️Generally Late timing and/or rotation ➡️Handsy sequencing ➡️Trouble getting the ball in the air pull side

In a perfectly sequenced swing, the torso decelerates to help deliver the lead arm. If your front arm is casting off and pushing, you’re going to struggle with a down and across swing. Give this feel a try before you swing 👀🔥

@talking_hitting @billmills was first i seen to do these & talk about it. our key though is, if you lose positioning and do not hit the target, the reading doesnt count. So no spin offs where you spin like a top as fast as possible. we use those & 1 arm iso pulls on crane scale to help build EV

@talking_hitting yep, we use the med balls with handles (1/2/4 lbs) and the plyo balls like this. works really well for improving bat speed through lead arm strength if you dont have a proteus. radar them & works really well.

@perry_nadreau I definitely think there’s some signal with overheard rebounders - the lead lat would activate and help with the slot patterning. Combining both would be 🔥

@talking_hitting Love this! Have thought about using lead arm overhead rebounds to help activate the lead shoulder, but really like this idea to blend with rotation and improve sequencing x.com/perry_nadreau/…
perry nadreau ✞@perry_nadreau

Could lead-arm overhead rebounds work to prime hitters? (Thread) Reading @TewksHitting right now, and it got me thinking that pre-fatiguing or activating the lead shoulder could bring some interesting results. The thought process revolves around the double pendulum.
