Our first grilse of the year at Cargill for John Guthrie, absolutely split fresh little torpedo about 5lb. Great start to the day. Tight lines David

Ladder Count 959 Water temp 57.8F (14.3C) Friday 31/5/24 Quite a few fish visible in the viewing chamber. One is a "lump" and looks to be well in excess of 20lbs.

We’re excited to see a steady increase in salmon activity so far in May, which is in line with historic fish counts.  We’ll continue to keep you updated with this season’s migration and share video clips of salmon ascending the ladder on the totems at Pitlochry Dam very soon.

The fish counter at Pitlochry Dam has been revamped for the 2024 season. 🐟 Our environment team are pleased with the performance and very high accuracy. You can see one of the salmon swimming upstream below.

The Club's Dam Beat produced 40 fly caught spring salmon for the month of April. Well above the 5 year average and an excellent result in comparison with most beats in the Tay system. There is good availability for May which is prime time. To book go to pitlochryanglingclub.com
