Elementary students should not be taking standardized tests because testing becomes the focus of education instead of learning. We take away their creative genius and excitement of learning, playing, & creating. We develop test takers instead of problem solvers and innovators.

Building relationships doesn't just help with behavior in the classroom, but students also work harder for teachers they respect and know care about them too. Relationships before rigor.

Teacher effectiveness is not greatly improved by curriculum, new programs, or initiatives. But, when teachers are respected, valued, supported, & feel like their talents are utilized, then morale increases, job satisfaction soars, & teachers are most effective!

Effective instruction involves more than content mastery, pedagogical prowess, and strategic resource utilization. Those three are critical for sure… but never underestimate the importance of human connection in the classroom.

Teachers are more motivated when their administration supports them, values them, and encourages them. Guess when students are more motivated.

There’s a difference between management and leadership. When you manage you focus on tasks and numbers. When you lead you focus on the people that drive the numbers.
