When you make the minimum wage too high, you make it less likely that companies will create jobs. When you give employees day one rights, taking on employees becomes an extremely high risk proposition for employers. We should be making it easier to create jobs, not harder.

I cannot say enough that this is a proclamation of faith, it is not economics. Simply, there is no proof from anywhere in the world that minimum wage has this effect in anything but the most extremely marginal way.
And anyone who says it admits they’re not interested in facts.
