But hospitality is not ownership. No amount of buying properties (which many groups do) changes the fact of indigeneity. Under the Land Use Act, land belongs to the state, but the soul, history, culture, and political identity of Lagos remain Yoruba. We are not “fools” renting our inheritance. The hard part of what you solely think is imisi’s problem is cos you can quickly label her as crazy cos of how she reacts. Hence it seems like she doesn’t know what she is saying. she can’t clearly express herself the way you expect her to. It’s doesn’t mean she isn’t wrong sometimes but its easier to conclude that she is cos of how she reacts. it’s not a flaw or justification either but i feel it’s easy to see she deals with anxiety, avoidance syndrome and can’t communicate her feelings with the best words.
