People who don’t want Wharton are absolutely clueless. That PSG game didn’t highlight the lack of athleticism in midfield, it highlighted a lack of people with the talent and mentality to get their foot on the ball and successfully pick passes out.

@JoshLFC1909 It'll be Wharton and gravenberch because he just signed a bumper, long term deal. And it won't work. Need physicality and pace in there beside Grav, and Wharton isn't that.

I think bringing in Wharton is a 1/2 part midfield. We need another more physical presence alongside him. My thoughts are Wharton-Szoboszlai, but would expect them to look into the market.

People don’t understand how important a deep lying playmaker is nowadays Every great team has one. Vitinha, De Jong, Kimmich Put a workhorse next to Wharton and its a great midfield

@thanospv Don’t mind it tbf. I’m happy with Gordon, covers us on LW + ST. Need another midfielder on top of Wharton. Camara would be perfect. Get Gray too and he can play RB and cover midfield. Would add Gakpo to the sell list too, same with Bradley.

We need 2-3 Wingers 1-2 Midfielders 1 Center Back 1 left back if Tsimi goes as well
