🚨Do you understand what just happened to AI video
a company just killed one of the most hyped AI products in the world and the message was soft…but the move was brutal
Sora is gone!
not pivoted…not rebranded…just gone.
this wasn’t just a “fun video tool”… this was supposed to be the future of content creation…
and they shut it down.
why?
because generating AI video at scale is insanely expensive
because “viral” doesn’t mean “profitable”
because legal + deepfake chaos was becoming a liability
but here’s the part most people are missing
they didn’t kill Sora because it failed
they killed it because it doesn’t fit where AI is going.
the money isn’t in cool creative tools anymore
it’s in agents… infrastructure enterprise
and if OpenAI is walking away from consumer video
what do you think happens to all the startups building “AI video generators”?
this isn’t just a shutdown
it’s a signal.
