I'm so tired of these justifications blaming women for the shit men do. The problem with relationships has nothing to do with women hoping for a fairy tale man. Meeting basic standards of human decency and responsibility isn't asking too much from men. Men aren't good enough by their own choice and women are no longer forced to marry them. That's the bottom line. Men used to be better and even then was still a challenge to find a decent one. But they are worse than ever now and there's no hope in sight. Women are gambling giving chances to men who pretend to be decent only to find out they are just good actors. Women risk their lives, their health, their safety and the little bit of security they create for themselves allowing men in their lives and the benefit is rarely worth the risk, the energy expended and the time lost. That's the reality. Invest your time, energy, resources and love wisely. The man that murders a woman is usually her partner.
