In 2016, Mark McGowan strongly opposed the expansion of gaming machines in WA because, as he said, more machines would increase problem gambling. Today, as Premier, Mr McGowan is attempting to expand gaming machines across WA. Mark McGowan can't be trusted.

It is disappointing but not all that surprising that Mr Gorman has only found his voice after an election defeat. Western Australians rightly expect better from Labor. They continue to take our State for granted.

Last night, Labor admitted their absence from Fed shadow cabinet was a problem. Time for Mark McGowan to stop playing “team” and speak up about this. If the Premier can’t manage that, after what has been a shocking month, he surrenders what little credibility he’s got left.

@TimGossage @SpraggCameron That’s a good question, Tim. Unlike State Labor leaders in the rest of the country, Mr McGowan was the central face of the local campaign. He consciously took greater prominence than Mr Shorten. For that, he can’t escape responsibility for the result here in Western Australia.
