Maybe conservatives should be questioning why conservative MPs would choose to cross the floor instead of screaming and blaming mark carney. You don't leave a party that represents your values and beliefs just because someone bribes you. You leave because it doesn't represent who you are any more and the leader is a terrible one. Poilievre has been rumored to treat all the MPs unfairly and demand they constantly prove their worth. Sounds like a miserable person to deal with. Look at the Captain if the crew members are abandoning the ship.

Beauty of a redraft for debate purposes is that it’s actually based on NFL merit, unlike the original draft where certain physical measurements (in many cases, the wrong ones) are overly glorified. And Brock Purdy has been a #1 performer by many objective measurements. Ironically, Purdy *was* elite in the physical pre-draft measurement that might matter most to QB play: The 10-yard split. People are just bad at scouting QBs — so first-round success from #262 makes draft-worshipers really uncomfortable

@therealroblogan Nothing is a guaranteed. The draft is a crap shoot. But I think the odds are pretty good that a 1st round pass rusher will be more impactful than a WR that has to struggle to get targets.

I’d much rather get a pass rusher in round 1, who will make an immediate impact this season, rather than a WR, who has to for compete for touches in a crowded WR room. I get the long term need, but I want a game changer right now. That 1st rounder has to be an impact player.

@Ihartitz Very strong hands at the catch point. He doesn’t get very good separation though, and many of those grabs relied upon great ball placement from the QB. It’s not going to get easier to separate at the next level.
