But that is NOT what this protest is about. It’s solidly an anti-Trump protest (I’m don’t support Trump). When our top education leaders go so hard, so bipartisan, any attempt at improvement of public education is impossible. She needs to redefine her North Star and get back to work for teachers. They pay her salary.

But Albert Camus denies the supernatural, offering a vision of life rooted in meaninglessness and revolt. His ethic excludes grace, his virtue is pride, and his hope is despair. He glorifies resistance over obedience, and beauty over truth. From a traditional Catholic view, this is not profound but poisonous. Time given to Camus is time withheld from truth. His brilliance seduces, but his message corrodes. It's not called absurdism without reason.
For the soul seeking heaven, his work is not enrichment--it is danger.

that's just silly: early 60's? Camus's brilliant short novels can be read in a single sitting. never to have read "The Stranger"?--"The Fall"? plus Camus's essays, notably on Sisyphus. if you think you will be alive at least for another two weeks, check out Camus; he is a pioneer & I am sure that Stephen King would agree.

@JoyceCarolOates Never read Camus, and probably never will, he might be a great intellectual power house but, at this stage in my life( early 60s, time is short) read every @StephenKing's book, having trouble with the latest one, Holly is fine as a sidekick but, not ready to lead the way.
