🌊 Wave, powered by @FII_Institute1, will be joining the 20th edition of The Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) — starting today at the Suntec Convention Centre, in Singapore, and running from April 20–24 under the theme “Actions Meet Ambition.” The Singapore Maritime Week is an annual flagship event that brings together global maritime leaders, and industry enthusiasts from around the world to discuss key issues, and the latest trends and opportunities facing the industry today and tomorrow. 🌊 Wave will host the “Quieter Oceans Roundtable: An efficient ship is a quieter one.” This high-level, closed-door roundtable aims to bring together key senior stakeholders from the maritime industry to discuss key challenges & enablers in optimising technical, operational and energy efficiencies within the maritime industry for reducing underwater radiated noise. 🌊 WAVE, powered by @FIIKSA, joined the Ocean Impact Retreat at Ocean Innovation Africa 2026, held from March 25–27 in Umzumbe, South Africa. 🌍 @OceanInnovatio1 (OIA) is the principal platform dedicated to accelerating sustainable and equitable blue economy growth across the continent. 🤝 As a proud sponsor of the retreat that followed, Wave helped convene 30+ ecosystem leaders for two intensive and highly productive days in Umzumbe, on South Africa’s wild coast. 🌎 The attendees unpacked the structural challenges limiting the scale of Africa’s blue economy and explored concrete pathways for collaboration—across policy, funding, innovation, and venture support. 🌊 WAVE, powered by @FIIKSA, joined the 7th Edition of the 2026 Ocean Innovation Africa— Africa’s Blue Economy Summit, held from March 23–25 in Durban, South Africa. 🌍 @OceanInnovatio1 was a powerful platform connecting leaders across the ecosystem—from innovators and policymakers to funders and conservation actors—united by a shared ambition for ocean regeneration. Common messaging at the event focused on how collaboration is key to ocean innovation in the continent, and that market access, not just funding, is a key bottleneck. There was broad agreement that open innovation can act as a catalyst to scale. 🎤 Wave’s Innovation Lead , Salma Baghdadi, shared a keynote on the critical role of collaboration and private sector engagement in accelerating ocean innovation—through more intentional open innovation approaches.
