Visualization of a 100M sqft Terafab factory using Giga Texas (10M sqft).
Such a factory would encompass the ENTIRETY of downtown Austin. From N Lamar BLVD to I-35. From the Colorado River to the middle of UT Austin.
This is just factory space, not counting how much land would be needed for power generation and storage, logistics lots, water retention, dedicated rail yards, possibly even an airfield.
Terafab, wherever Tesla can find the land, would operate like an independent city, inhabited by tens of millions of Optimus robots.
It's not even in our vocabulary to describe the scale of this operation, 'unprecedented' doesn't cut it.
It will not be easy by any stretch of the imagination, but damn will it be epic. This is how we become a galactic civilization.

Holy moly, Tesla/SpaceX’s Terafab will be ~100 million square feet, which is 10X larger than the main Giga Texas building, which itself is ~1 mile long. No wonder the Terafab won’t fit on the existing Giga Texas campus 🤯

@WallStreetApes Wrong. Turn on Dark Mode on your device and your X app will go into Dark Mode.
It is now controlled at the Operating System level, not the app-level (which made no sense and created issues throughout the app).

The newest version of the X App no longer has the option to switch to Dark Mode
If you update or delete the app and reinstall you will be stuck on Light Mode. Be warned

This makes a new tab at the top next to For You titled “By Grok” which would be the new customized timeline. Can let users adjust time period inside the tab.

I’ll explain our thinking:
• Topic filters introduce a lot of complexity for non-heavy users, so we made it relatively hidden.
• It is possible to break your timeline if there is not enough post inventory. This happened in experiments with very specific categories.
As a solution for now, it is a temporary per-session filter that expires after leaving the app.
However, we are exploring a few concepts where it creates a new tab for 24 hours or permanently.
If any designers are interested in working at X, feel free to share some ideas on how custom timelines could work.
