@TristinHopper Also, I had to move to Montreal to find affordable rent because the gov flooded the GTA with immigrants. I can’t even get involved on a local level here because I don’t speak French well enough. Maybe I’ll go down and join the protesters at the convention this weekend….

@TristinHopper Push back how? My family barely talks to me now because they think I’ve joined a cult. They refuse to listen to me about anything. I share things on my instagram stories from here regularly to hopefully get through to some people. But seriously. What could I possible do.

Start tabulating all the times in your daily life that you roll your eyes at something you know to be a lie. Then, decide which of them you're going to push back on. Politicians are acting like this because they know the electorate is disengaged. So figure out how you're going to engage.

I asked Bruce Fanjoy, Poilievre's successor in Carleton, if Pierre Poilievre should cross the floor to the Liberals. Here's his answer.

@HeiderKate He had a 20 point lead against Trudeau not Carney. And what do you mean by floor crossings are a better way. Better to what? Democracy?

When the Liberals say they want to unify Canadians what they really mean is they want no opposition.

Another day, another few Indians in #Canada openly trafficking #Opium online, which is a Schedule 1 drug in Canada, punishable with up to 7 years prison. The first one is out of #Surrey, BC. The second one is out of #Brampton, ON. There is a HUGE Opium trafficking network and they operate worldwide. Needless to say, @TikTokCanada facilitates this illegal activity because the platform is FULL of drug trafficking and no amount of reporting these accounts amounts to any violations. #Deport #Opium #cndpoli

@neondrafts @tiffyleeson @JJ_McCullough Aren't blind, loyal, boomers traditionally the key demographic of the PC party? All I can say is that the downfall of PP against Carney will be studied in PoliSci in this country for decades.

The one thing I don’t understand, however, is why Carney wants to cobble together a razor-thin majority government through a bunch of Conservative floor-crossings instead of just calling a snap election he’d surely win.

Now if the Conservatives *were* sending over a double-agent floor-crosser to the Liberals, the candidate for such a thing would probably be Marilyn Gladu.

@mapleblooded My parents paid for mine which included a year in Australia. My dad starting putting into my RESP at a young age. He was from England though so he’s always been different than your avg North American boomer.

I don’t know a single Millennial whose Boomer parents paid for their education. Co-signing a loan isn’t paying for something. From what I’ve learned from friends and coworkers is that’s a behaviour that Gen Xers engage in. What’s your experience?

Subway in Halifax is posting a food service supervisor position at $17.00 an hour as a TFW job. It's interesting to see a major chain like this seeking temporary foreign workers for supervision roles. Does the employer demonstrate that no Canadians are available for this specific spot in NS? How does this fit with the LMIA requirement for a genuine need? Please share this with any Canadians you know who might qualify to help get them jobs, and post it to communities on Facebook or X so more folks can apply. Repost to help more Canadians see this. More resources in the replies. jobwatchcanada.com/job/49028485

@Methshin @neondrafts @JJ_McCullough Carney needs this job absolutely. He is putting policies and giving contracts out to meet the demands of his Brookfield Global Transition Fund that he will make over a billion from in a few years. He used to lobby the gov for these things, now he is in charge.

@neondrafts @JJ_McCullough As someone that debated who to vote for until I got to the ballot box, here's my justifications: - I hate career politicians - I genuinely think that Carney is far smarter than Pierre - I vote for the leader, not the party - Carney does not need this job, Pierre does

Canadian politics 101. First, Mark Carney became the leader of the Liberal party with a rigged selection process. Next, he was appointed the Prime Minister of Canada without being elected MP. Now, he will get an unelected majority government. It's all just a big game to them.

Pierre quitting is the entire point of this Liberal led demoralization campaign. Don’t fall for it! They are scared shitless of him. Bruce Fanjoy rants about him all day everyday. Why else do they exhaust so much energy on him? This would give the Liberals the ultimate win. Gladu is everything that the left fears and hates. It doesn’t make sense for a reason.

@Gamenadian @paulywoodSK @Criminoboy But just by your responses, you’re extremely immature and emotional. This is boring now. I don’t know if you have the intellectual capacity to review those documents and understand them anyways. Have a great night.

@Gamenadian @paulywoodSK @Criminoboy If you were so convinced you are right you would look at the chart where this fund is completely laid out with the conflicts of interest and refute those claims.
