Excellent news re Ukr&Cr2. Is this opportunity for UK to 'sunset'CR2 in its entirety, donate entire fleet to Ukraine, and reequip with M1/Leo2 in vastly better/cheaper/bigger deal than keeping CR3 going? Should the UK give up MBT short term for much better long term outcome?

I signed up to the big energy usage reduction thing, so I'm sat watching the smart meter like a hawk. I've got 1 light, a fridge, freezer & a smart meter plugged in. My boiler is off, & I'm watching the meter fluctuate between 30 & 400w, WHY? Nothing has changed, nothing at all.

But, but... I thought that they hedged FOREX, and took "prudent measures" (PQ late October) to deal with inflation? Either they don't do either, or - even worse - the management of these risks is so awful that even with hedges, there is an £8bn two year shortfall.

Under the Integrated Review, there is a plan to buy a load of new equipment to transform the armed forces. This was backed by a major increase in defence spending. But all these vital modernisation plans will be under threat without protection from inflation & foreign exchange

MOD has been a mess which hasn’t improved under his watch. I think he’s competent only when viewed against the background of the cabinet as a whole (incompetent)
