It’s been great leading on this work in @SHUCDARE @SHU_SIoE exploring how #adventurelearning can have an impact on self regulation, behaviour and engagement-acting as a catalyst to re-engage ‘hard-to-reach ‘students #adventurelearning #outdoored #schools #pupilengagement

I enjoyed working with the rest of the team on this project. One of few large-scale evaluations to have focused on self-regulation and school engagement as outcomes. Hopefully interesting reading for people
Sheffield Institute of Education, Sheffield Hallam@SHUCDARE

New report out today! Adventure learning can help re-engage disengaged students. Improvements in behaviour observed, likely related to opportunities for challenging/engaging activities, group work, improved teacher-student relationships, and joint experiences of success.

@mills_sarah Interesting that they note that although pocket money amounts have gone up, the number of children receiving regular pocket money has gone down. Ours and others' research has shown that more deprived families often give more pocket money, but less regularly.

Let’s Make Pocket Money Equal 💪 I worked with @starlingbank on a new report that has revealed ‘The Play Gap’. We discovered that boys get 20% more pocket money every week, while products marketed at girls cost 5% more. How can we do better? More at starlingbank.com/campaign/makem…

Really enjoyed working with @MoneyPensionsUK on this project, designing and evaluating the first instrument to our knowledge to measure young children's financial literacy. We're hoping that it will be useful for future work in educational programme development and evaluation
Money and Pensions Service (MaPS)@MoneyPensionsUK

We’re working with @lborouniversity on how tools to measure the #financialliteracy of 4-6y/o can be effectively designed. Results from the first phase – a small-scale testing of the use of comics – have now been delivered. Learn more: ow.ly/Zq6750K4ano
