@FM_Assist Hi FM, are you guys aware of staff members retiring mere days after you sign them? This happens when a particular staff member has been out of a job for a year or two. I finally achieve a certain reputation to sign them, and then they just retire.

I’ve been called a lot of names over the last 24 hours, and the one that surprises me the most is “liar”. Mainly because anyone who’s been paying attention will know that my main problem is the opposite of that - I’m not really capable of lying and it gets me in trouble. And to clarify before I go any further - that’s not me claiming everything I say is fact, I get plenty of stuff wrong! But I always believe everything I say, at least at the time, and often without thinking it through properly! I’ve had plenty of negative things to say about FM over the years, and ironically one of the most common complaints I’ve had on my videos this year in particular is that I’m moaning all the time and too negative about the game - some examples of this videos in the screenshot! Believe it or not, my opinion can’t be bought for a free copy of a £38 computer game, and if I didn’t like FM26, I’d absolutely be telling you all about it. But the truth is I’m enjoying the game. At a time when the loudest voices online clearly aren’t, and the easy and probably sensible thing to do for my business would be to agree with them. But I’m not going to fake outrage when I’m enjoying myself. I completely understand that a lot of you aren’t enjoying it, and that’s fine. You’re entitled to your opinions just as much as I’m entitled to mine. And I see a lot of the issues you’re highlighting. The bugs are obviously a real problem that’s hopefully getting fixed, and there are some things missing from the game that I wish would come back, like Director of football recommendations and recruitment meetings. Both of which I’m not seeing mentioned a lot because I guess most people didn’t care about them or use them, so they might not come back. I also really don’t like the 2D view on the match screen and wish we could turn that off, and would like the whole game to be a bit more customisable which will hopefully come in time. On the flip side, I love that we don’t have to go through every inbox message now, something I know some of you hate, and I never used the chalkboard, saved team selections, staff attribute numbers or some of these other things some of you are missing, so I don’t care that they’re gone. The key thing for me, is the improvements to the match engine outweigh the negative changes to the UI, which for me is a net positive outcome because I spend probably 80% of my time in FM in matches. And never believed shouts did anything so don’t care they’re gone either. But some of you spend 80% of your time in the menus, so of course I can see that you’re looking at the changes through an entirely different lens, and hoping for a completely different game to me. The key point is, none of us are wrong. We can all have our own opinions on the game. We shouldn’t be trying to force people to agree with us, and we shouldn’t be calling people a liar or an idiot or whatever else if they see things differently, play the game differently, etc. So I’m drawing a line here. We’re now zero tolerance on shenanigans. My channel is a welcoming, tolerant, friendly place for us to enjoy playing the game we love. If that’s not the vibe you’re looking for, then don’t watch! And if I see you in my comments or chat personally attacking me or anybody else, you’re gone. Let’s just be nice to each other, and hope that eventually we land on an FM game that we can all enjoy equally! Even though that’s probably impossible to achieve!
