What you see on the news in the US right now is sensationalism. I live in Texas, we have astronomical amounts of Hispanic people here, and we love it! People of all ethnicities are welcome still, the mainstream news bends everything. The issue is with the illegal immigration. These people come in, don’t pay taxes and they receive government assistance. We don’t want these types of people. Come here legally and we absolutely STILL love to be the Melting Pot we have always been. We simply want legal immigrants that assimilate to our broad yet diverse culture. Nobody has to fit in a box, but they do need to live amongst the basic standards our culture views as necessary.
