@marcus_buckland Stan and Dan should’ve been the first names on the wildcard list. Everyone else up for debate. But those 2 should’ve been locks based on achievements & respect for their exits.
One of the best players the LTA has produced, achieved amazing things for GB tennis. Treated woefully.

@jowiox Both deserved one. Stan is one of the only modern greats still playing (Djokovic being the other).
Evans has more of a claim to one than literally everyone else including Dimitrov. Done more for British tennis than all of the flops this century barring the obv stars like Andy.

Stan has won 3 GSs and is twice a Wimbledon Quarter finalist. Dan hasn’t made it past the 3rd round and was banned from the sport for doing coke. So no, I don’t think so.

@evans_reanne Needs a hard court to be a top player, seemingly. Makes me respect the likes of Iga and Ash Barty. Modern greats who have performed on every surface.
Sabalenka at risk of going down as another Osaka. Dangerous on hard courts with a few hard court slams.

Think he deserves everything that comes his way in his final year.

Ash Barty is a modern great due to her all-surface credentials as well.
Sabalenka should be compared to the likes of Naomi Osaka. A very good hard court achiever.
