Final Destination was released 26 years ago today. The concept originally started as an unproduced episode idea for The X-Files. It was later rewritten into a feature film, turning Death itself into the unseen antagonist.

The final shot of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993). Batman standing alone on the Gotham rooftop as the Bat-Signal cuts through the sky. A perfect closing image for one of the best Batman stories ever told.
