@financedystop Having McDonald’s once every few weeks is fine, especially in Europe. If you’re having it for breakfast you might as well try not eating breakfast altogether. Haven’t had one in years and I’m still not slim.

@DMC_Ryan Hard to comment on the specific analogy because the industries are so different. But obviously this shows that the players and power dynamics in Hollywood have shifted from the utter dominance of the traditional/historical studios to the streamers.

Omori was on gamepass and the moment it got removed from gamepass it also got removed from the xbox store without any warning. Now it says “not currently available” so i cant even buy the game. Please, we need this game back on xbox @OMORI_GAME @xbox #omori #xbox

I got to play this last night! Really fun game. I didn't make it to the dragon in my short time with it so can't wait to go back and try the full game.

@benfritz Was this in prep for the "What Went Wrong" podcast episode on it coming up next week? That's been motivating me to go back and watch a bunch of old films again (or, in some cases, for the first time).

Rewatched "Starship Troopers" last night for the first time in a long time and wow does that film hold up really well.

@HoegLaw I saw it yesterday. It was fun but it’s a super goofy movie. Nonsensical plot. Weird tone mashup of very silly mixed with too serious. Doesn’t seem like the kind of film you’d tell your friends to see, so I’m not particularly surprised.

The trailers looked awful, the reviews middling, and the word of mouth non-existent. End result: top loaded opening with almost no general audience uptake.

@DMC_Ryan I could not agree with you more. I have nothing against the movies, of course, but I find them entirely unappealing. The most entertaining thing to come out of them was "Dances with Smurfs."

The new Avatar trailer ran before my Fantastic Four showing yesterday. I continue to not get how these make so much money. I’m not here to yuck anyone’s yum, but the first one was too long & IMO not that good. Was the second one better? That said, the Avatar ride at WDW is RAD
