Remigration is an empty buzzword used to avoid delivering anything close to a meaningful framework of government. It simply can’t answer the “ok, and what then?” question. Nationalism used to be holistic and forward-looking now it can barely dabble in single-issue politics.

@Rhain1898 @janusZer0 Yeah, it also seems to me that people who feel fatigued and weak during a cut are cutting out carbs way too much. Completely unnecessary and suboptimal.

@truejuicepapi @janusZer0 Same, there's a lot of useless fat you can lose before it even touches your lifts. I dropped 20kg and was still hitting PRs through it. What really makes you lose power is not eating properly before a lifting session which happens more often when people are cutting.

You become lean and old people immediately start telling you that you should be eating more. Keep the belly to yourself grandpa🤞🏻

@janusZer0 So real. And the thing about "losing strength" is also complete BS in my experience. I'm 3 months into my cut, 5kgs lighter, and I am lifting more weight than ever.

@truejuicepapi Lean is law is very real. Fuck being bloated. You feel gross and look gross all the time. And idc if it means I can pick up more metal, most of the time I’m not picking up metal so it’s a dumb metric. Yes I’d rather look better than be a powerlifter too. The obese will cope.

@arctotherium42 And more importantly, the vast majority of the funding cuts were not related to asylum policies. Ironically, if Orban had accepted the EU's asylum relocation scheme, but had not implemented his *own* guest worker program, Hungary would host way fewer foreigners today.

Yes there was concern about Hungary and Poland prior to the war in Ukraine, and funding had already been cut off, however, Orban became particularly "radioactive" after the war, especially because of his links to the Russian state. I don't think the average European even knew who he was prior to the war.

This is just not true. There were multiple European countries, especially Eastern European countries who refused to take in great numbers of Syrian refugees. The main reason why Orban became so disliked in Europe was because of his stance on the Ukraine war.

I agree with most of this. As long as Magyar actually tackles corruption, and doesn't stand in the way of EU funding for Ukraine, he can almost certainly secure a big chunk of the frozen EU funding for Hungary, without having to be soft on immigration. The incentive also works the other way around. The EU will want a more coöperative leader in Hungary so they have reason to release some of the funding.

@ObamaGarak @DrJMoneyPHD If Magyar works with the EU on most issues, especially on funding of Ukraine, he will almost certainly secure billions in funding without having to necessarily open the borders. We will have to wait and see what happens.

@ObamaGarak @DrJMoneyPHD They got fined for a few hundred million euros by the EU for that policy specifically. The EU funding that is being withheld is around 17-18 billion euros which mostly has to do with corruption and "rule of law concerns."

If Magyar delivers on these promises then he will replace Orban's national-populism with a true blueprint for European nationalists. Immigration restrictionist (especially when it comes to "guest workers") and pro-EU, without vulgar populist messaging or foreign associations.

@arctotherium42 Hungarians aren't "libs" that need to be tricked, they are just more right-wing and nationalistic than any Western country. There are also plenty of centrists and conservatives who would be in favour of immigration restriction but NOT if it comes with corruption and Russophilia.

You can't actually trick libs into being OK with "no Africans and Middle Easterners" by being polite about it.

This is a conceptual error. The whole reason Orban became enemy #1 for European libs was refusing "Syrian refugees" in 2015. It has nothing to do with "vulgarity" or foreign associations (which came later as an attempt to survive EU hostility). Those are just excuses.

Surely the most interesting part is that as a function of the number of children, women's sexual desire trends down but men's trend up.
