Some people talking about wave 1 not performing to expectation/dry air, etc. Wave 1 was driven by isentropic ascent over the shallow cold Arctic air mass, but from a synoptic standpoint main shortwave trof is still over Baja. The second wave will be driven more by dynamics with more robust upper-air support. Expect heavier snow rates and potentially banding to bump totals even more in the second wave.
