#Newsnight. Hi Adam, why didn't you ask the commissioner for countering extremism whether he still thinks people should not use the phrase "islamophobia"? Seems pretty pertinent just now, no?
English

@PaulBrandITV @itvnews This could down as the biggest own goal in election history. How could anyone think this interview was more important than D-DAY commemorations. Nigel Farage must be rubbing his hands. Unbelievable.
English

More on this interview on @itvnews at Ten shortly…

EXCL: In his first interview since Tuesday's debate, Sunak denies he is a "liar". Starmer has repeatedly accused him of lying about Labour's tax plans. “It’s desperate stuff. They are obviously very rattled", Sunak says. Full iv Wed 7pm @ITVTonight.
English

@BBCRadioManc Especially this bit: “The action we have taken so far follows a long-running and carefully managed investigation, and we do not believe that there is a wider risk to the public connected to this case," he said.
English

@BBCRadioManc This story seems to be a breach of the contempt of court act.

English

That fairly backfired on BBC..The influencer and the anti sexism woman both agree the beeb are playing the game. Lol #Newsnight"
English

@carolvorders @DanNeidle @guardian That was superb. So the PM who's wife was tax dodging won't sack the tax dodging party chairman. 🤔

My brief and heartfelt explanation of Sunak wife's non-dom tax exclusion (£20m not paid?) and Zahawi position as of early this morning.

English

@DanNeidle @odlinz I hope I'm one of many more people now following you. This is very entertaining 🍿as well as important.
English

@odlinz Any comments or thoughts appreciated. My DMs are open, and I always treat them in strict confidence (unless they are from libel lawyers threatening to sue me).

@MichaelRosenYes What we the crowd singing to trigger such a response from the new education minister?

@MichaelLCrick MailOnline rewrote the Times’ story about the proposed government job for Carrie Johnson in the early hours of Saturday morning but has since also deleted its article without explanation. News aggregation sites have also deleted their copies of the MailOnline article.
English

@MichaelLCrick Michael can you ask The Mail why they pulled their rewrite of the same story?
English

@MichaelLCrick BBC 10 o'clock news. 15mins in we get the massacre in America. Can't help thinking had the victims been white it would've been higher up the running order. 🤔
English

@MiguelHutch You were one the best players of the whole competition. Superb.
English

Huge congrats to @imperialcollege. Second time bested by such a deserving team. Huge love to @MargaretOunsley, @Sylvianism, Kira, Alex & Sarah, think we did Reading proud. Didn’t dream of getting this far & here we are meeting a Nobel Prize winner post-final #universitychallenge

English

@MackemKTF @PippaCrerar Presumably he is responsible for his own actions though and he did attend some of the parties, or is that someone else's fault too?
English

@PippaCrerar He actually said he "had been reassured no law had been broken". At least listen to the full video, the full transcript of what he said repeatedly months ago. As you well know, he does not manage the staff or CS's. He sought assurances. It is they who may have lied. Easy really.
English

@MaggyClark I think the quotes are long enough to see very clearly what she was saying. But I agree that the whole event should be made available knline, which I hope the organisers and GBNews will facilitate.
English

Amazing stuff. Didn’t anyone in the Labour Party think of checking up on her background?
