But if we were to remove all Nigerian presence from the idea of the diaspora, meaning their specific history, language, symbols, political traditions, and cultural influence, nothing much would change. Especially for Black Americans.

@txndeayo @itsreallyinka I think that “making you feel like an outsider” is them more so preserving their Black American culture, as they should imo. The experience as a Black person in America is collective- Black American culture is exclusive.

@txndeayo What the fuck is a first generation Black American? Black American’s are slave descendants ONLY. It’s an American ethnicity. You are a (Nationality)-American, who happens to be Black, as well.
