This reminds me of the collective outrage against the Otedolas just a few weeks back. As insensitive as it might've been, he and his children were being true to their nature. It would be at best an anomaly for them to act otherwise, and worse, hypocritical.

Since time immemorial the elites have always been oblivious, disconnected from the realities experienced by the masses. On the rare occasion that they aren't, they tend to be indifferent and unbothered. This fact shall remain the same for as long as society produces elites.
