One thing that concerns me about this whole Valko and 6.0 contents removal is this: if people are loud and vocal enough, any kind of content can be removed?
That is a rather huge detriment to artistic freedom and intent, and it leads to a loss of identity of the game.
So if a certain subset of people are mad enough, they can potentially rally to cancel other contents in the future, such as banners, character storylines, branches, etc. if it doesn’t suit their tastes?
It just seems like a risky move where perhaps no one wins at the end of the day 🤔

As a person who works in Chinese game dev, cancelling him by infold CAN count as a consumer fraud! So let’s bomb them with reviews, on AppStore, write to their support etc.. We have some power as a Western community, so let’s show them what we feel about it #BringValkoBack

This whole situation with Valko seriously is unbelievable and perhaps unprecedented in this industry. I have never seen a gaming company actually bend the knee to fan backlash before, and the saddest thing isn’t the fact he’s not releasing, but that real human creativity and work is affected.
All the resources spent creating him, the entire development process the voice acting auditions and actors involved, music composed, and then trickling down to marketing, finance, legal, etc.
There’s just so many people involved that are affected, whether they still have a job with the company or not. That is the saddest part in all of this, to know that those who weren’t part of the executive decision making process still have their lives impacted by this decision.

我不玩乙游，但是恋与深空这场风波，已经被当作案例在研究，真正让我恐慌的是，他们在研究女性愤怒到什么程度才会真正停止花钱，如果这次官方挺过去（流水没大跌、玩家还在氪)，那所有行业都会收到一个信号：冒犯女性没成本，连锁反应，女装、首饰、美妆、甚至健康产品都可能开始试探，先砍品质再踩底线、最后把你当韭菜。你看到的只是一款游戏，但资本看到的是女性消费者的容忍度上限，不花钱真的不会死，但女性消费者一旦被蔑视，那就是真的灾难开始。你的钱包是你在这个商业社会里最直接的，你今天花钱买的衣服，可能明天就被偷工减料，反正不会真不买，你用的护肤品可能配方降级，因为骂两天就忘了。这不是危言耸听，这是商业逻辑，资本永远在找成本最低的路径，而不尊重是最便宜的（复制的）。

A Letter to All Players Dear Miss Hunters, We sincerely apologize for reaching out once again. Over the past several days, our team has been closely following your conversations and feedback across all platforms. For the issues that have surfaced since the announcement of Version 6.0—and the frustration these have caused our community—we want to clearly state: we are sorry. As we've expressed before, our vision for Love and Deepspace has always been to build a world that grows alongside you—one that offers a richer, deeper sense of companionship over time. As various issues have arisen in recent days, we have moved quickly to make the necessary adjustments. After reflecting on recent events, we recognize that we moved forward with the introduction of Valko before we were truly ready. In doing so, we let down the players who have supported us from the start, and we also fell short of delivering the experience that players anticipating Valko deserved. After extensive internal discussions, we have decided to make the following changes: 1. We have decided to cancel both the launch and any further development of the new love interest. We also commit that no additional love interests will be introduced in future content plans. 2. All other in-game systems and features originally scheduled for Version 6.0—including Home 2.0 and AR Photobooth—as well as the limited-time Selectable 5-Star Memory Rate-Up Event, will proceed as planned. The outfits, photo poses and scenes, and the Nighthush Box (the second-anniversary 4-Star Memory Selection Crate) originally planned as rewards for the Hunt in Linkon event will instead be sent to all players for free via in-game mail after the version update. 3. Going forward, the entire team will focus on further developing the stories and long-term companionship experiences of our five existing love interests, while ensuring a stable pace of Main Story production and updates. Rafayel's new Solar-Slot Memories and Companion will be revealed in July. Farspace Colonel Caleb and Onychinus Leader Sylus will also return in their Main Story branches in September and November, respectively. By participating in the relevant events, players will be able to obtain the corresponding 5-Star Main Story Branch Memories for free. We will continue to devote all our care and effort to bringing you richer stories and game experiences. 4. Beginning today and continuing for 30 days, players who log in each day will receive one Deepspace Wish via in-game mail. Each mail will remain claimable for three days, for a total of 30 Deepspace Wishes. We hope this can offer some compensation for the disappointment and disruption caused by these adjustments. To our community: once again, we apologize. Because of our actions, the joy you should have found in Linkon City became a source of distress, and the feelings you hold most dear were hurt. We are deeply sorry for the hurt and disappointment we have caused. Love and Deepspace has always been about sharing love with you and protecting the love we all hold dear. i wish more ppl realized that valko was built with hard work from real people too. the creatives, designers, va & storywriters who poured their heart into him. company is the problem and now all that effort is just wasted. do u know how heartbreaking it is to even think about it
