As Cheltenham celebrate increased attendance this year it would be a useful exercise to get total raceday attendances for a calendar year & subtract the attendances from all big racedays, eg Cheltenham, Aintree, Royal Ascot, Goodwood, York, etc. Taking out annual members too

@stratfordraces 0-125 handicap hurdle today worth £5,624 today. This is compared to £9,495 in 2017 when it was a 0-130. Stratford’s prizemoney is consistently poor and their MD is an @TheRCA board member.

@SimonHolt3 Agreed - give him a couple of laps of Cheltenham and Aintree parade rings for his adoring racing fans.

Everyone has an opinion! Personally I think running CH at Cheltenham is risky for the horse (how many hurdlers fall three times?) and the sport. He has lots of options on the Flat, particularly in a shallow staying division if he can build on last night’s performance.

The welfare of Constitution Hill is paramount. A few laps of the parade ring at @CheltenhamRaces & @AintreeRaces - applauded by adoring fans is an option. Cheltenham on the Tuesday - like most racing fans I'll be sh@tting bricks - heaven knows what @sevenbarrows will be like.
