@Kspencer24 @usatf_AAC No, but I also don't like the idea of voting yes just because someone has a gun pointed at my head. Will the new bylaws make USATF a better organization, or is the only reason to vote "yes" to avoid possible decertification?

USATF Athletes Advisory recommends a "yes" vote on the proposed bylaw changes. I don't know enough about the pros/cons of the proposed changes, but I find it notable that this statement speaks to why voters should not vote "no"; I would like to hear why they should vote "yes".

Here’s a question: has USOPC ever *actually* decertified a NGB? I can’t believe it’s anything but a hollow threat.

@Lilot1TrackMind Membership should vote “yes” to ensure USATF remains the certified NGB of T&F. This protects elite athletes’ Olympic Dreams in terms of funding, stability, and representation in our organization.

@Lilot1TrackMind It’s understandable for us to be track-centric, cuz we all love Track and Field! This new system of certify/decertify goes into effect January 2021 for the USOPC, and applied to ALL NGBs. It’s not that they’re focusing on us.

@usatf_AAC Again, I don't know all the ins and outs, but I find it very hard to believe that the USPOC would decertify the NGB of their flagship sport a few months before the Olympic Games.
