Step into history with “Tom Lea: Brushstrokes from the Frontlines of WWII,” featuring the gripping artistry of El Paso native Tom Lea. Created in partnership with the @TomLeaInstitute and @humanitiestexas, this exhibit at the Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens features famous works from LIFE Magazine’s Accredited Artist Correspondent during World War II. Lea, the iconic creator of “That Two Thousand Yard Stare,” painted images from the war as it was being experienced by U.S. and Allied troops. The exhibit is on view through March 31.
