@xShaolinW they rarely appear in photos from space because cameras are in low exposure to capture sun lit objects like the moon and earth, the sunlight reflection off of those makes distant stars look invisible, kinda like how the stars disappear during the daylight on earth.

Might be a stupid question, but when you look up at the sky at night you see stars, why are there no stars in the background of any of the NASA photos?
