@maverickmitch I first need to have some conviction to trade the symbol and then I try to follow my position sizing rules based on the setup. If multiple setups trigger then I will increase size but never do big size unless its an A.

@veptrader Hi David, how do you decide the amount of exposure to put into a trade when you have multiple signals?

Very mixed day. $AGRU, $BIAF, $CYCN, and $UCAR I shorted premarket and around the open and my goal was to cover into flushes and that the big gap down day with oil spiking so hard caught longs off guard. Very mixed results on that. I was too greedy with $CYCN and fought it a little bit too. $SKYQ nice premarket long but I was greedy and only sold some into the spike in $6.50 and ended up stopping out of the rest shortly after the open. Still ended green on it but I also left an older stop and ended up short and quickly covered for a small loss. $SIDU I was really patient on shorting but it never had a good pullback. I think they might raise soon.

So far blah day for me but I think @InvestorsLive might have topped ticked the $SKYQ short premarket. Maybe he will send some chart porn later on his trade? I made 4k on $SKYQ on a long but was up a lot more but got stopped out on the rest shortly after the open. I whiffed on the short. Mixed in my other trades so far.

@veptrader Probably sub $5 by the end of the week - nasty how they blow up the shorts, then blow up the longs

$ELAB might continue its death spiral now on the daily but short interest is so expensive can't really swing this thing short.

@nofear_182 Merger news sometimes more difficult and I lost in $BFRG and felt small cap market was heating up and the price action and heavy volume I just figured would be a tougher short.

@veptrader What made you avoid CYCN short?

Over 12k realized on a tough day to be a short seller. Late post had family stuff. Today was crazy and I'm glad I stayed out of trouble. I didn't trade too much today as I was working on other projects. $BFRG I had 2 chances to be profitable on this stock today and didn't take it. $DEFT covered some into weakness after the open but then got stopped out. $AGPU small scalp with no size. $CYCN I'm glad I stayed away from the short. $ELAB I didn't touch till after hours on the 424B5 and then covered for a quick profit. $UCAR, $MGRT, $SST, $RENX, $BCG, $MLGO, and $BIAF all were runners at some point but I didn't trade them but they were on my radar.

@2020GoPro That day-trade column is MTM PL for the day. No idea why DAS does it that way. They don't do it that for Realized and Unrealized PL. I don't know what else to tell you.

$PAVX I lost 7k on my first trade on it but then reshorted and got the offering gift. $ELAB I shorted premarket and covered before the open. $RAYA I whiffed. $FEED was a pain today. I lost twice on it premarket for 6k. I reshorted after the open and covered most via time based and was hoping for a bigger fade but it held. After it spiked to $2.50 I traded it a bit but mixed results. Too low float to hold overnight. $RBNE and $ANNA and decided to not trade them. $UGRO I whiffed as well.

@ItsWalterEgo It has been tough. Hang in there. Lick your wounds and come back stronger.

Nothing worked today, got smoked on $AGPU, $CYCN and $ELAB, all high EV trades for my strat. Some minor winners elsewhere, but overall a very tough environment.

@KrisVerma88 Hang in there. After big losses, your biggest winners can come as the market gives more opportunities.

Rekt on $CYCN early PM entry face ripper, then tried $AGPU but that didnt fade at all.. Brutal conditions right now.

Small cap market has been heating up. I've been caught off guard so many times throughout my career on the short side when this happens.

Musk’s SpaceX has filed for an IPO. I'm long $DXYZ heading into this IPO. As it gets closer, I might buy some other space stocks. I'm a terrible long swing trader btw so please don't follow my advice.

$CYCN locates are pretty cheap so I had to grab some but that doesn't mean it hasn't to be traded. When locates are super cheap on a low float that is sometimes a red flag.

$CYCN I whiffed on the long and didn't locate it today. $BFRG I held some short overnight but small size :(. Watching $ELAB from the short side but being careful with it and no trades on it yet so far.

@pokeywhite @RonaldVolusus 5 weeks of FTDs means there’s settlement friction, not proof of massive naked shorting. FINRA Rule 4320 tracks fails, not actual short positions.

@veptrader @RonaldVolusus "FINRA Rule 4320 is about persistent fails to deliver" Yes, we're all aware...that's the problem. We're going on 5 weeks of FTD...every single day. If you don't see an issue with that, then that's on you.

As of today April 1st $HGRAF continues on the FINRA 4320 naked shorted rule.

Cuando digo "más dificil" es q tienes q adaptarte. Adaptarse es: Perder dinero para entender que tienes que ajustar tu trading: ejm Ir por recorridos mas cortos en gappers que antes querias fade D1. Ir con size mas pequeño para ser más flexible en tu convicción del patrón (ejm con reversiones). Pasar de no tradear chinas a irles long... o a solo ir short en cosas q tengan liquidez extrema como WNW., etc Adaptarse tiene que ver con HABILIDAD. A lo mejor en algun momento, mi adaptación será salir de Small Caps. Quien no se adapte, sea como sea, quien no cambie, quien no evolucione, esta MUERTO! La habilidad del trader esta en: * tener tolerancia al riesgo alta * tener fortaleza para aguantar drawdowns * Observación y mente abierta para potenciales nuevos edges, aprenderlos y hacer cosas que quizas no estes tan comodo. * Asumir que estas EQUIVOCADO y tener la humildad de reconcerlo * Ser contrarian en muchas ocasiones * "Olfatear" oportunidad y reconocer ciclos de mercado. * Reconocer en qué eres bueno y qué amerita incrementos de size y riesgo. * Tener paciencia para esperar TUS setups y tomar tus profits. * Cuestionar tus habilidades TODO el tiempo para ser mejor día a día, pero aún asi tener CONFIANZA en ellas * Entender que TODA la responsabilidad recae sobre TI y no en el mercado, broker, Trump, etc. 2- Small caps esta muerto? No, pues hay volatilidad y liquidez. Para referencia: En 2022 hasta 31Marzo habian 28 gappers de más de 50% y el gap promedio d estos fue de 86%. En 2026 ha habido 145 y el gap promedio 101%. Siempre que haya volatilidad y liquidez, va a haber oportunidad. Por último... Tengo 6 años publicando resultados TODOS los meses. Están verificados y son reales. No voy a parar porque a ti te de genere incomodidad ver a gente que le esta yendo mejor que a ti. Si tienes esa actitud, probablemente te alegraste d ver mi Enero negativo... pero de qué te sirvio? Eres mejor por eso? Porque yo si soy mejor gracias a mi Enero negativo. Usa esa incomodidad para ser mejor y no para odiar y reventar a otros. Transparencia para generar Roger Bannister effect (q por algo tu timeline de twitter (X) esta lleno de traders en español... de nada), pero TAMBIÉN para tener autoridad y legitimidad desde mi espacio y transmitir lo DIFICIL, pero lo hermoso que es el trading como profesión. PD: ¿No es una bocanada de aire fresco leer un post que no sea formato de AI?... Estoy LADILLADO de ese tipo de POSTS.
