3 reasons why I think Devin is NOT going to take ALL dev jobs (yet) 1. Why behind the how - Generating working code is only a part of the responsibility. Troubleshooting prod issues, non straightforward errors, trade off decisions, security, compliance will still need some manual oversight. 2. Problem Solving - Innovative solutions, what approach to take to solve a given business problem will need some human involvement. Implementation or execution of that approach could be done by AI. 3. Strategic thinking, Prioritization - It's not just a manager's job. Devs are responsible for overall code health, tech debt, direction of the tech stack etc. Yes, if you are someone who *just* writes code, you need to start thinking differently. Learn, adapt, succeed.
