I just remember a day I called an edo girl who live in same condo with me to come cook for me because I was sick on that day and couldn’t do much, she had previously told me she is a chef and she cooks from home for people to place their order. So I had confidence in a cooking skill based on what she had told me. Fast forward to the cooking part, madam first carry meat wash just once and was about to cook I was like wtf, I had to tell her no Abeg you go wash that meat 3 time Abeg because blood never comot e body. After that she moved to the dried catfish and didn’t even know she was supposed to clean them with hot water before use omo na so the food start to Dey irritate me before she cook am finish o. When she was done I sha ate little make I ft use my medicine. I las las throw the who soup away ni, even when I told my cleaning lady to throw away the soup she was confused and like the soup is much now why I’m throwing them away I just told her she won’t understand and she be Kenya woman she no go ft chop am because pepper Dey. I’m someone who is very big on hygiene most especially on food. If you no be clean person me and you no ft relate at all.

My neighbour locks her kids indoors every weekend and holiday. No playing outside, no friends over. Just the four walls and whatever screens she leaves on for them. I used to feel sorry for the kids honestly. Then I started noticing things.. The older one, maybe 9 or 10, would lean out the window and just watch the other kids play. Not saying anything. Just watching. Like he was studying them from a distance.
