@tnballplayers Plate umpire is WAY too extra with his safe call…. Especially for him to be wrong! First of all, he should be at the point of the plate in order to see the tag. He was blocked out by the pitcher and was moving the entire time.

If he was the QB for the Tennessee Titans, there's no way he'd be hated and ridiculed like this. It's only because he's the QB of the Philadelphia Eagles. #Eagles

@BBGreatMoments I’ve worked with the plate umpire from this video and he is one hell of an umpire. Could he have done more on this play… absolutely! And he likely would say himself that he should have worked up that 3rd base line more. The angle of this video makes it hard for us to judge.

@TheUmpShow101 @MikeWinovich @BBGreatMoments Bases loaded … U3 was in the C position for - 3 man rotation. That was plate’s call. He should have worked up the 3rd base line more but ultimately he had the best view of the baseball. Also have to take into account the angle of this video.

@BBGreatMoments 16 year umpire here. First of all, why the heck isn’t there a base umpire (or two) for a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME? And this is just me, but when I was solo, I hustled from behind the dish to cover every base, & to follow flies like this. Terrible. Put in the effort, blue.
