According to BTS members "SWIM" is the most minimal track in the album, its not a song that instantly grabs your attention but it has a long lasting impact and grows on you. They tried to create a song better than SWIM as a title track for a month but SWIM just felt the most natural. Its simple yet appealing

[NEWS] #BTS spoke about the album and their activities through Big Hit Music (3)
The following is a Q&A with BTS.
Q. New attempts made in the full-length album?
- Group: If you listen to all the tracks on the new album, the composition itself is solid. We focused on broadly expanding our range to include genres, sounds, and vocal expressions. We made an effort to try genres that were not familiar to us and tried to incorporate expressions we hadn't attempted before. In 'FYA,' we showcased a hyper-jersey-based sound highlighting raw energy, while in 'Like Animals' and 'Merry Go Round,' we added psychedelic textures to attempt a style of music distinct from our previous work. We also made detailed changes during recording, such as tuning the sound to be more relaxed and clean. It is difficult to say we are 100% satisfied, but we are fully satisfied in the sense that we are still changing and moving forward.
Q. Behind-the-scenes of the songwriting session in Los Angeles, USA
- Suga: We worked on songs while living together. We ate together every day and talked a lot. We also spent our leisure time in our own ways. In particular, we talked a lot about our rookie days every evening. Since we were all together for the first time in a while, it brought back a lot of memories from back then.
- J-Hope: There were days when the work went well, but on days when we hit a wall, we would return to the dorm to encourage each other and take care of our condition. The process of making an album while living with the members felt like a new experience in itself.
- Jimin: Right after our debut, the members and I said, "Let's make an album just the two of us someday." That is why it was very meaningful for all seven of us to do the songwriting session together this time.
- V: I heard a theme on my way back from working out, and at that moment, I suddenly got inspired and tried singing it right away. The reaction on set was good, and everyone liked the overall melody, so it was able to be included in this album. That song is the final track, 'Into the Sun'.
- Jungkook: Since we worked on over 100 songs, the process of the members gathering together to listen to the demos all at once was particularly memorable. Because we worked on some songs separately, there were quite a few that we heard for the first time, and that process remains a fun memory. It was just so enjoyable and happy.
Q. What does 'BTS 2.0' mean to each of you?
- RM: I thought about it countless times, but it is difficult to define it with just one word. However, I think it is close to 'balance.' Half of it is that the seven of us have come together again, and the other half is that we need to move forward and change. It is not easy, but that makes it all the more happy and fun.
- Jin: I think we need to become a little more mature. We need to think more seriously and grow in every aspect. I also want to work harder on our activities.
- Suga: It is a 'new beginning.'
- J-Hope: I see it as growing one step further as an artist. I believe the start of '2.0' is expressing ourselves as we are while showing musical freedom and a mature side.
- Jimin: Rather than attaching any particularly grand meaning, I have a strong desire to strive to steadily advance and grow, just as we have always done, even if the way we express ourselves changes slightly.
- V: I think it is a story that includes growth. While there is a sense of novelty that naturally emerges as time passes, I also believe it serves as an opportunity for BTS to showcase their experiences and growth through their performances.
- Jungkook: It is literally 'something new.' It signifies a new direction in anything. I, too, want to start with a fresh mindset.

[NEWS] #BTS spoke about the album and their activities through Big Hit Music (1)
The following is a Q&A with BTS.
Q. How do you feel about your comeback after 3 years and 9 months? -
Group: We are excited and nervous, but above all, we are overwhelmed with emotion. We are happy and grateful just for the fact that the seven of us can gather and do something together after such a long time. We have returned with amazing preparations, just as much as ARMY has waited for us for so long. The very fact that we can show you our best selves again is a source of great emotion and happiness. Since it is our first group album in a long while, there is as much fear as excitement, but we have no major worries because the members and ARMY are with us.
Q. What is the main message you want to convey with this album?
- Suga: We pondered what is most like us. Rather than a grand message, we focused on 'us' itself.
- Jimin: I wanted to say that we are constantly moving forward. There is always the pressure to show a new and better side of ourselves. There are also countless concerns. Nevertheless, we wanted to express the mindset that we will not stop and will continue to swim forward.
- Jungkook : We hope you will think that the most BTS-esque album has been released, as it fully captures each individual's time and color.
Q. How were the 'Korean elements' included in the album decided?
- RM: First, we threw out various ideas that came to mind. During the songwriting sessions, we even created a song based on Taekwondo. It didn't make the final album, but I personally liked it quite a bit. I believe Korean elements are an important keyword that can bind the seven of us together. This is because they are connected to where we started, our roots. What constitutes "Korean" is constantly being redefined and changing. I think it would be interesting if we could become part of that flow.
- Jin/Suga: The album logo originated from Jungkook's idea. The current album concept was established as the members' opinions were added from various angles, and since all of us are Korean, there was also a suggestion that we should naturally incorporate Korean elements.
- J-Hope : We also infused the excitement and culture of Korea into the lyrics of the new album. We tried to create more 'points where the seven of us can be together' in various aspects. I believe that returning and showing ourselves as we are ultimately means starting from our roots. I believe we are who we are today because those roots were solid together.
- V : All the members contributed a lot of ideas and thought deeply about how to incorporate our individual personalities. I think ARMYs will also enjoy the fun of spotting them one by one.
