Life is so unfair, man. I was on a Rapido bike today, just a normal ride. The driver asked me where I live, which college I go to. Casual stuff. Then out of nowhere, he started telling me his story. He said he did hotel management from Amity. Life was good back then when his dad was in the army, they had a good business, he used to have a lot of fun. Then Covid hit. They lost around 13-14 crores. Everything just… collapsed. They had to shut everything down. He tried again. Started a startup with his friend. That didn’t work either. Lost 4 lakhs in that. No savings left. “All I had was this bike,” he said. “So I started this.” And then he said something that stuck with me “I’m not giving up. I still believe in God. I’ll try one last time. One more shot before I give up.” And while saying all this, he actually started crying. Man, I didn’t know what to say. Just sat there, quiet. It hit me. Life really is unfair sometimes.
