@walkingbyself

I like boobs, mermaids, and science fiction. And I enjoy various combinations of the three.

Just a friendly warning to anyone who follows me. In a week or so I'll start favoriting NSFW things. So if you do not like that, please unfollow so that you are not subjected to it. Have a good day.

This is the shot you can’t get from the press site. This camera was sitting a few football fields from the SLS rocket at Pad 39B for days before launch, baking in the Florida sun, surviving rain, humidity, and whatever else the Cape threw at it. No photographer behind the viewfinder. Just a camera, a sound trigger, and a bet. The way pad remotes work: you set your camera up days in advance, dial in your composition, lock everything down, and walk away. You don’t touch it again until after the launch. The shutter fires on sound activation with a @MiopsTrigger smart+ trigger. With SLS, the four RS-25 engines ignite six seconds before the solid rocket boosters, so the camera is already firing before the vehicle even leaves the pad. You get home, pull the card, and find out if you nailed it or if a bird landed on your lens two days ago and left your a present and you got 400 photos of soemthing crappy. There’s no formula for protecting your gear this close. Some photographers build wooden boxes with doors that pop open. Some use plastic bags and tape. Some do plastic or metal barn door rigs on hinges. I tend to leave mine open just in plastic rain covers because boxes limit my composition and setup time, but that means your cameras are more exposed to the elements and whatever energy and debris comes off the pad. You’re basically gambling a camera body every time you set one. That’s what I love about this genre. There’s no playbook. You make it up as you go. Every time is an adventure. 📸 credit: me for @SuperclusterHQ - Artemis II pad remote | ~1,000 ft from Pad 39B | Kennedy Space Center

I read how a failed Pakistani 'asylum seeker' who repeatedly abused and raped an eight year old girl has been jailed for 15 years. He abused her in her own home and bedroom. She was told that if she told anyone, she would die. I wouldn't deport him. Under a Restore Britain Government, with the British people's approval, the death penalty would be reintroduced for such evil and undeniable crimes. He would be put to death. If you rape a young child, you do not deserve to live. It's that simple.

NEW: NASA's Artemis II has successfully blasted off, launching toward the Moon for the first lunar voyage in 53 years. Here is what to expect next: - Mission is 10 total days. - The crew will get 5000 miles from the Moon's surface. - The crew will sleep in two four-hour periods. - On Day 2, Orion engines will accelerate the spacecraft to escape velocity and send them toward the Moon. - On Days 3-5, the crew will fine-tune the approach to the Moon. - Day 6 is when the crew flies by the Moon. They will be about 250,000 miles from the Earth. - Days 6-7, the crew will fine-tune their approach back to Earth. - On Day 10, the crew will put on their proper suits and get ready for reentry. - They will reenter Earth's atmosphere at 25,000 miles per hour. - Two parachutes will slow the capsule to 17 miles per hour. - They will splash down off the coast of San Diego, California. An infinite number of modern Trek writers typing for an infinite amount of time could never come up with something as great and inspiring as Kirk's 'Risk is our Business' speech.
Sacred Cow Shipyards@SCShipyards

Star Trek was, at its core, competence porn: skilled people doing their jobs well & improving each other and themselves in the process. Now it's "identity" porn: every character is most interested in showcasing how special they are, but for hardly any actual, earned reasons.
