This season has to be Cubarsí’s year for the Golden Boy. In 2024, Lamine had his breakthrough, fair enough, no one could compete with that. In 2025, Doue sealed it with his UCL final performance, again, understandable. But this season? I don’t see any real competition. Cubarsí has easily been the best youngster. If he keeps this level consistently until the end and avoids costly mistakes, no one should be able to take it from him. He absolutely deserves it. It would be a disgrace if one of the best teenage center-backs we’ve ever seen ends up never winning a Golden Boy.
