Remember all those protesters yelling freedom. Where are they now? The freedom to read is important in a democracy. I would rather children get information on sex from a well told story than from the internet.

@drseanmullen I am so sorry. It happened to me too while spending 2 months in San Diego winter of 2024. I slept in a 2nd bedroom window wide open used the spare bathroom. Both ore a N95 in common area. Positive for 18 days due to Paxlovid rebound. My husband did not get it. Good luck!

After 5½ years, my wife just tested positive for the first time. I’m self-isolating in the guest room with the dog, running on ~24 hours awake after my daughter’s tennis tournament in Missouri. Exhausted, but priorities are clear. I built a moat of purifiers around my daughter’s room—everything on full blast. It’s probably cleaner than a lab fume hood in here, but I’m not taking chances. She’s already been through, and I’ll do anything to keep her from another round. Even the dog and I are separated by purifiers on both sides of the bed, so if either of us catches it, maybe we won’t share it. Too tired to test myself, but I feel okay. Shutting down. Hoping for the best.

@DisabledDoctor You aren't too much, although I know it feels that way. Your friends from the beforetimes aren't enough. I'm really sorry their selfishness hurt you so much that you stayed home. You fit in with and are accepted by the rest of us who do what we can and must to survive SARS-CoV-2.

I’m sad. We were supposed to go to an outdoor concert today with a few of my friends. We planned to wear our Respirays, and since it’s a picnic-style venue, people are usually pretty spaced out. Weeks ago, when we got the tickets, I asked if we could sit toward the back to stay away from the crowds and noise, and they said absolutely. But now, less than an hour before gates open, they’ve made it clear they no longer want to sit in the back. They suggested I just stay home if I’m not feeling well. I think they meant it kindly, but it really hurt. So my spouse and I aren’t going. And I’m just sad. I’m tired of being too much. I’m tired of people not understanding. I’m tired of being willing to take risks and still feeling like I don’t belong, like I can’t fit in or be accepted, even when I’m doing everything I can to pretend things are even close to how they were before 2020 while still staying safe.

The cases of transmission from dental workers to their clients are largely underestimated. Back in 2020, in Quebec, it was frequently claimed that there had been no outbreaks in dental offices, even though I had been sick for six months from an infection contracted while working in a dental clinic. There was an outbreak in the clinic, with at least four people affected, including myself. I later learned that there were other cases in another clinics, but officially, authorities report that nothing happened. This is false and impossible.
