Local AI is about to flip the game. Most builders are renting intelligence from OpenAI or Anthropic right now .  But models are getting smaller, hardware cheaper, and running your own stack is becoming real. Anyone already running models locally for indie projects?

I keep seeing people treat AI tools like they're all the same. Use the cheap one for the boring stuff. Use the smart one for the hard stuff. Use the fast one when speed matters. That's it. That's the whole framework. Running everything through one premium model because it feels safer is just burning money. What's your current model stack for actual project work?

Something shifted in agent reliability recently and I can't fully explain it. Six months ago I wouldn't trust an agent to handle anything I cared about without babysitting every step. Now I'm walking away and coming back to finished work. It's not perfect. But the failure rate dropped enough to change how I plan my builds. Have you noticed the same thing or is it just me?

Browsing samples on Freesound was painful. So I built a plugin that pulls them right inside my DAW. Music makers: your perfect tool doesn't exist yet.  Go build it.

CLIs are having a moment - and I think AI agents are why. No DOM to navigate, just clean input/output. Makes me wonder if UI-first is the wrong instinct for agent-facing tools. Do you build CLI-first or UI-first when prototyping?
