@VeritasHere @ailsybabe All smokes have internal batteries. Possible that one has failed causing an alert. Some are replaceable 9v square ones. Most likely it’s a LiOn battery which means a new smoke.

@HMRCcustomers Yep. BTW Your online chatbot told me I should have received a reply by 02 April and that I should contact by phone. If that information is wrong then you might want to update the chatbot. The refund page which gave me the ref number also says allow 2 weeks and contact after 4.
