And this is "bad and scary" i guess because the government is uh... giving you back a return on your money? That you gave them? As part of the contract of society? It is incredibly funny (depressing) when ppl essentially say "i hate giving govt money so i won't let 'em spend it"

I'm assuming that last screenshot entails "whole-house energy saving plans" or something. That alone? That fucks.

I'm looking at the usual band of sydney papers, local papers to the area, but it's been a long time since I was involved in local news behind uni papers and small-scale radio.

Interested in pitching a story about the intersection between queerness, disability, and exploitative work. As a core case study, I have a company with five separate types of work law violations in as many weeks. What publications might go for this that I wouldn't know about?

@johnlk_80 @nathanwatkins @Kit_Donnelly @towhey The gestalt has gone from "check wikipedia" to "dont use it" to "use if it has sources" but ol' Wiki P is littered with bad sources that look legit on a surface level, and of partial exerpts from sources that are misleading without context. If you care, check the sources proper

@nathanwatkins @Kit_Donnelly @towhey Lots of articles that are *very bad* and incomplete, for sure. But usually if a Wikipedia article goes in depth on something it'll at least be based on a real source.
